Whoa.....heavy reading lately. Either book was enough to scare the bejeebies out of me, but to read them together! Londonistan exposes the social and religious crumble in Britain that has sytematically allowed Al Qaeda to create a breeding ground for extremism. The Al Qaeda Reader is a compilation of translated works written by bin Laden and al Zawahiri- not as seen on their videos, or their watered down messages to the world, but in the full light, as they communicated with other Muslims, which strips away any of the pretenses and veiled threats, and exposes exactly what they are after and why. It's caused me a lot of deep, troubling thought, introspection and delving into the scriptures seeking for perspective and reassurance.

If you think that Al Qaeda will be appeased if we pull out of the middle east...
If you think the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the source of all their hatred towards us...
If you think Terrorism is retaliatory for grievances against our foreign policy...
If you think we are fighting a ragtag bunch of hoodlums, impoverished, illiterate, with no other outlet for their frustrations...
If you think the government needs to spend more money and time creating programs, tripping over themselves to show that they are the most liberal, using words like 'appeasement'...
If you feel that illegal acts by minority groups and the subsequent absolution by their communities cannot be challenged or criticized for fear of being trampled as a 'racist'...
If you think our identity as a Nation, our values and our defense should be subservient to the the Human Rights of an individual...
If you think our judiciary and litigious society are helping...
If you think this isn't an all out war on our existence...
